Gospel According to John 4.46-48. Jesus heals an Official's Son Then he came again to Cana in Galilee where he had changed the water into wine.Now there was a royal official's son lay ill in Capernaum.When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee,he went and begged him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.Then Jesus said to him "unless you see signs and wonders, you will not believe". Continuing with our earlier deliberations, believing in God is really difficult.Because it demands many things from us, we may have to forgo precious and dear people and objects.Not necessarily.Believing in God is really a challenge.In fact I would say the greatest challenge, a man has to face in his life.It defies reason and it negates plain and visible things.Our belief is solely based on our inner movements and convictions.We may be instructed to believe in God but the catechism or the preaching of priests can only influence us in a particular way....

Gospel According to John 1.43-45 When the two days were over, he went from that place to Galilee(for Jesus himself had testified that a prophet has no honour in the prophet's own country).When he came to Galilee, the Galileans welcomed him,since they had seen all that he had done in Jerusalem at the festival;for they too had gone to the festival. Here we find Jesus moving from place to place to preach the plan of Salvation.In fact we see in the Gospels that Jesus loved to travel a lot.He was never fixated to a place.He wanted to be a wanderer for God and for the people over whom he had developed compassion because they were in total darkness.The travelling Jesus had only one Mission in life and that was to reveal the Father in heaven, the Father in our deepest hearts bestowed on us in birth and baptism.He exhorted people to understand this plan of salvation.Our mind is limited and finite and it is very vulnerable to death.Today or tomorrow we will get decayed by God's Own creat...

Gospel According to John 4.20-22 "Our ancestors worshipped on this mountain,but you say that the place where people must worship is in Jerusalem". Jesus said to her,"Woman believe me, the hour is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem." Gospel According to John 4.10 Jesus answered her."If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you,'Give me a drink' you would have asked him and he would have given you living water." "He was in the world and the world came into being through him yet the world did not know him.He came to what was his own, and his own people did not accept him.But to all who received him, who believed in his name he gave power to become children of GOD , Who were born, not of blood or of the will of flesh or of the will of man , but of God." Here we find two categories of people, one category does not believe God and another category of people does accept him and they become the children of God.Children of God are not of this world, they are not guided by the material desires and the search for luxury.They are all moved by the will of God and that is to know God and be united with him.However in this world we cannot have perfect union with God, so suffering is part of life.God remains with us and he dwells in us putting us in peace and tranquility.

St.John owns up the responsibility of showing to the world the true Light, that is JESUS CHRIST. Upon receiving Jesus and agreeing to follow his teachings in direct and indirect ways,a man becomes the part of this True Light.No darkness in the form of sin can ruin him.And those who agree to follow him will never waste his life in this world. No specific christening is required to follow Jesus. Any one willing to respect and abide by his teachings can be part of This Eternal Truth.

The Gospel According to John 1,1-5. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.He was in the beginning with God.All things came into being through him and without him not one thing came into being.What has come into being in him was life and the life was the light of all people.The light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not overcome it."This is the Word of the Lord. Here we find St.John explaining the background to the Incarnation of Jesus.The Son of God always existed in the World and the world was never without Him and He was always in the world.The world was created through him and in him.The life that he brought was also followed by Evil.The darkness also rules the world but the Evil can never overtake the Light.God created his people for him and for his Glory.
