Good News

"Fear Not" is an expression that one finds in the OT and NT and the same words are frequent in the OT. The OT people were more less living a life of fear and death as they were not directly saved by God the Father through His Only Son Jesus Christ. Even in OT God was at work with His people guiding them parenting them and taking care of them. Why do we fear? What do we fear? Human life is full of uncertainties and anxieties and it began with the Fall from Grace. We know that the first seeds of fear were sown on earth when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and sinned. They were afraid to face God and they hid themselves under the cover of a tree.Fear sprouted in the minds of man and woman as he distanced himself from God and started obeying the world or worldly matters.United with God there is no space for fear disunited with God there are spaces for fears as man gets attached with ungodly things. Is.59:21 This is the covenant with them which I myself have made, says the Lord: My Spirit which is upon you and my words that I have put into your mouth shall never leave your mouth, nor the mouths of your children's children from now on and forever , says the Lord. The Power of the Word of God that pierces the bone and the rock  is the strongest weapon man have toady and it is more powerful than the strongest destructive weapon man has invented.

Gospel According to St. John.5:31-34. "If I testify about myself, my tesimony is not true.There is another who testifies on my behalf, and I know that his testimony to me is true.You sent messengers to John and he testifis to the truth. Not that I accept such human testimony, but I say these things so that you may be saved. Jesus the Son of God, the Divine needs no testimony as He has full knowledge of the beginning, the current and the end of the world. Jesus is God Himself. But he believes the testimony so that it becomes an example for us. Those who lived at the time of Jesus were witnesses to Him. But many were unfortunate and perished by not believinh in Him. The faith that we need to have is based upon the indirect testiomony to Jesus. Again many are unfortunate here because faith is something that we do not get in the market culture.Faith is a gift from God contingent upon our desire and longingness. Gospel According to St.John.5:35 "He was a burning and shining lamp an d you were willing to rejoice for a while in his light". In this teaching Jesus is pointing to the human folly, the frivolous and the vascillating nature.We become Christians, that is the new converts or we listen to a homily or read the Bibile and we become enthusiastic about it. We immediately sign up. After a while we knowwingly or unknowingly forget all that we heard, read or accepted.We quickly compromise the divine in the face of the undivine and start a wrong life.The fickleminded nature of human being right from Adam is playing havoc with our spiritual life.
